You are right, it doesn't make much sense. This wiki never really started off for several reasons – but mostly because IdeasAreCheap. Coming up with crazy, unrealistic ideas is easy – so easy in fact, that it requires considerable effort to defend against those ideas. What is valuable are tested ideas that work. The more worthless, untested ideas, the harder it is to find the good ones. So recording bad ideas doesn't really make much sense, and can even be harmful.
